What is the difference between eyelet and pencil pleat curtains?
Eyelet curtains have metal rings punched into the header and slide directly onto a rod, giving deep even waves and a modern look. Pencil pleat curtains are gathered onto a tape into narrow upright folds and hang from hooks on a track or rod, which reads as more traditional and works well with pelmets.
Which blinds are best for Kerala's climate?
Roller and zebra blinds in solar-screen fabric are the most practical for Kerala: they cut glare and heat while keeping the outside view, they resist humidity better than timber, and they wipe clean easily. Wooden and bamboo blinds look beautiful but suit shaded or covered windows better.
Do blackout curtains really block all light?
A blackout fabric blocks essentially all light through the panel itself. Some light will always spill around the edges unless the curtain is oversized, wall-mounted with an overlap, or paired with a blackout roller blind underneath. We size and fit them so that spill is minimal.
Can I get sheer and blackout curtains on the same window?
Yes, and it is our most popular bedroom combination. A double track carries a sheer layer for daytime privacy and soft light, with a blackout layer in front for sleep and afternoon heat.
Do you stock ready-made curtains as well as custom?
Both. The Attingal showroom carries ready-made panels in standard drops for quick requirements, and a full custom service for anything that needs an exact size, a specific heading or a particular fabric.
